This storm's catching me,

This storm's catching me, sweeping me off the ground.
There was no sound--just terror--so powerful I couldn’t say a prayer.

There I go flying into thin air,

floating away into the dark sky grey.

There's no more to this life, it's over, nothing left.
I try to walk straight but I go left, right off the mountain's edge into the cleft.
There I go swooping down, touching nothing but the sky.

There was no truth, only a lie. There’s nothing left, so why should I try?
Anger, hatred, irritability, all this is becoming insanity.
No more of me I see, I'm faded to nothing, but something is there.
I see a light, maybe giving me one last fight, so let's take this flight.
Let's soar and be free and maybe you'll see the best in me.
I may not be good, but at least here I've stood in your presence,
but I guess this is just one of my lessons
I messed up, seems like I always do.
Now here I rot away, just like a dying stray.
You left me and now I’m dying, but not do I hear you sighing
I'm gone now, you still don't see any good in me. There I go washing away on a path astray
nowhere to go, nothing in my vision; I'll be dead, dead here in my collision.
