Story
He looked out at the beach below the tracks of his passing train, seeing an older man walking his dog alone. With his dog, but alone. He didn't want to ever be that man. Or maybe he did. He didn't know. His phone buzzed and the message read "are you home?" He did nothing for a moment, then responded "no." Setting his phone down he looked out the window again, this time seeing nothing but the dark blue ocean, the waves crashing against the shore. He checked twitter, comparing the electric blue of the interface to the dirty dark blue of the ocean, the he stopped. He didn't like that. Reading a tweet that said "I want to go to San Francisco", he closed twitter. It wouldn't change anything. Of course it wouldn't. Why would it? But maybe it would. Not knowing anything was a burden. But he liked not knowing anything. Or maybe he didn't. He didn't know.
