The Story

This the story of love long lost

A story of heartbreak and all that it cost

the children of a broken revolution

reveling in the rain

Lest we forget

That soon it can be spring again

A long ways ago,we were kids

Tattered and dressed in gold but god forbid

We try to be adult

Finding adventure in mysterious places

Loving the darkest of spaces

Fear was just another word we did not understand

And we knew that soon it would be spring again

15 and dreaming

Begging to be adored by our peers

Crying our strawberry chap stick tears

We thought fear was a fairy tale

We did not understand

And suddenly,it was spring again

And then, the ticking clock became all we could hear

The realization

The trickling fear

We finally began to understand

That spring would be coming once again
