The Story of Everyone
There are no happy endings
in the fairytale of life
You earn them.
and keep earning them.
There are no moonlit balls
where you find your Prince Charming
You find love.
And get your heart broken
There are no seven dwarves
to nurse you and take you in
You get back up.
When you fall down
There are no will-o-wisps
to lead you to your destiny
You create your own.
From the bottom of the barrel
There is no true-love’s kiss.
to wake you from a cursed slumber
You must learn to wake.
so you can dream once more
How can there be happy endings,
in the fairy-tale of life
if we all die at the end?

The Warped Scribe
Hello, I am Casey. I love writing poems ("Well, duh, Casey! Why'd you join this site in the first place!?") My language arts teacher received a card in the mail for a Poetry & Essay writing competition, gave the card to me, I read the card and typed in the wrong URL (happy accident) and here I am! *golf clap* My favorite poets are Silverstein & Poe (I memorized the first-ish stanza of "The Raven."). My favorite writers/authors are Holly Black, Katie Alender, and my favorite childhood author was, and still is, Mary Pope Osborne. I typically write about magic and dark/creepy stuff in a way that most 13 year olds wouldn't, but it's what I'm good at. :P
