the story of the eye

eyes telling a story, but you don't stop to listen , stare deep you'll see how they glisten, this girls been drifting , this girls been lifted, from the dirt , from the hurt, she been brought out the worst, and she still smiles, she still stays low , when she see you on the ground, this girl she's strong in the mind, but she's weak physically and emotionally she can't get deep into it, but the eyes tell it all , just keep staring into it , you see that happiness, that's because she no longer has time to be sad, to be drained, to be stained by this world that only wants to see her as upset, see her a wreck, to put her in a check, handing her a check, to be on the cover of a magazine with headlines that don't come close to defining her, they
want to see her walk down the run way, strutting until her legs hurt, till she falls in front a crowd, that once loved her, they so called "loved her" after starving her to death, to maintain a certain weight, telling her follow her dreams, but she got to be a certain height to fit in, to get in, to win, but when can she be accepted for just being her, the natural hair, the natural glow, this girl is a rose, this girl is sunflower, shinning from head to toe, them eyes been shining for a while now , you haven't stopped pay attention, stare deep and deep and you'll see how they glisten .
