STORY II

Will the sadness that fills my
pink balloon dog heart
fade away
Just as I will?

I fear I am too serious,
I fear that I lost what shouldn’t have
(the thing most precious)
Though in hindsight, I never truly had it

I watch as the children go into summer,
and realize I was never a child
My heart bursts from the pressure,
And only rubbish remains

I want them to make my skin useful;
Turn me into a story book,
(for doe eyed children)
a funny one
