The Story of the Moon
Your inner beauty
Deep inside your heart
It shines in the night
It gives the moonlight
To come out and fight
For the sky with the sun
Not for fun
But for hope
That its lover will stay
And not go
With the coming of winter
He comes home
To find himself alone
For winter has come
And his love's cold heart
Needs the sun to warm it
She has left him
For the stronger one
Of a lesser heart
Who will treat her as badly
As he crawls sadly
To his bed to weep
He stays for months
Crying himself away when he will cease
He tries many ways
Rope to choke
Pills to dull the thrill
Poison but it's too many coins and all
But then he looks up
To see her return
But only to tell him
That she is leaving again
To which he will have no more
He leaps to the sky
He stays with no food
No water
No break for the sake of proving
His love for her
The one who does not deserve it
And shows his face by night
While in day he cries
This is the dark side
Which he hides from us
Out of grief and sorrow
Of the true love he felt he had
