A Story's Purpose

A piece of literature of predetermined length meant for different purposes

Those are: To inform, to entertain, to lie, and

even to comment on society's various ills

However, there's a new, insidious reason:

Pushing an agenda.

It may not be apparent at first.

It can become obvious when a character gets quite over something trivial, though.

For instance, there's a novel where an owl becomes a smith

-because, there were no female smiths

Of course, it didn't stop there.

Now movies with overpowered female leads are coming out.

(I feel that's an apprioriate word because, these women can take on anybody,

no matter how impossible it would be)

However, that's just the tip of the iceberg of a much larger issue.
