Strain.

The motorboat proudly moves along
Chugging, like it was meant to do
Always afloat, always there
Until it sees a blazing flare

Off it goes, off it speeds
Seeking the other ship in need
A perilous journey, using every whim
The motorboat spies the ship that pleads

The whir of its engine, the Motorboat cranks
A thick, brown rope
Working to catch the ship before
It sinks to the desolate ocean floor

A struggle, a tug, a pull, a heave
A success for the Motorboat, though it can barely breathe
The Motorboat guides the ship away, No Thanks
From the ship that would have by now sank

The Motorboat pushes the ship along
Propelling the ship in the right direction
Leading it from stumps and bogs
Conducting the path towards no wrong

At last the Motorboat attains a break
Weary, tired, it begins to sink
It fights and strives and indeed persists
Battered and drained, it awaits the next stake
