Stranded
Alone in my thoughts,
And all I think about is you,
Memories surface,
And smack me in the face like sharp wind,
I'm alone and somehow I can feel the warmth of your hand,
The softness of your lips,
I remember the time when I left you,
Then came back to start over,
Your anger issues irritate me,
But when I'm away,
Somehow all I think about is you,
Your dark brown skin,
Your sausage finger hands,
Or the way you say my name,
Somehow I'm alone,
Stranded on this dirt road,
Without you,
Holding me,
Reassuring me everything will be alright,
I guess I'm not alone,
Cause the thoughts of your words,
And everything that makes you you,
Lingers through the waves of my mind,
Making you seem real,
Almost touchable,
If I concentrate really hard,
Your smells radiates off the back bone,
Of my imagination,
Now you're really here,
Memories of you is all I'll ever have now,
Your death brought me pain,
Now I'm sitting here crying,
Stranded on a dirt road,
Where we had our first kiss,
While a sweet jazz melody played,
In the front seat of your car,
I miss you,
You're gone,
But your memories live on.
