Stranded

the effortless breeze roared

while the waves were talking

the dark clouds got angry

while the palm trees were dancing

I am screaming

while the seagulls are chirping

the sun was smiling

while I was stranded

It was dark and cold

as the night went on

I only wanted you to hold

but the distance was beyond recognition

my emotions took a beating

while I laid underneath the trees

I dreamed of better days

of sitting beside my James

as the breeze roared and the trees danced again

I laid there dreaming of being with my sweet James again
