Stranded

Stranded in the heat,
All alone but not to be beat,
Love is what I keep,
In this heart it is deep,
Home is where I shall be,
In my family’s heart like it is key,
Love keeps me going on my own,
Love doesn’t have to be a loan,
The love I have for my family will never end,
For they are my anchor and my friend,
Love is what will get me off this island,
To my family in my homeland.
