Stranded

All alone on a deserted island, I never thought this day would come.

Many folks would ask, "what would you take with you if you were stranded?"

Some would choose their favorite book to read or a journal to write in.

Others would choose an emergency kit or

a sword with knives to survive the jungle of the island.

Then some folks would even bring slaves to pamper them

or bring with them endless bounty of food so they will never grow hungry.

But for me? What is the one thing I wish to bring? The one thing that

  I certainly cannot live without?

Well the answer is a bit embarrassing yet comforting and in fact

  would shock most people.

I will bring the love of my life.Yes this indeed sounds childish and silly

but hear me out my reason why.

We tried so hard to be together back in civilization,

where society bounds us to rules and limitations.

I do not need money or fancy ideas for us to go on dates

never having time alone, for those against our fate

because I know in my heart that this island is the perfect place.

He has been by my side through times of tears of sorrow and joy

times of laughter, despair, tragedy, and hilarious comedies.

He is my defender of my scars, my rock to help me stand my ground,

my wings to guide me, and he means everything to me.

Being on the deserted island allows us to be together at last,

where our relationship will take a slow, peaceful pace.

Where our love will not be rushed or have to do everything so fast,

Because this is paradise, this is freedom, this is perfect.

I guess it's not so bad being on  deserted island

especially when I am with the person most dear to me.

Without fear to hold us back, we are free

  together for all time

  together stranded...
