Stranded Island Melodies

Although I do not know,

anything about a guitar

other than strings, curvy, musical,

I have always wanted to play.

If I were to be

stuck on an island allowed one thing,

it would be a guitar.

If I were to be

stuck on an island all alone,

I would have plenty of time

to teach myself.

Imagine the skill I could obtain

from singing in the sand,

guitar in hand.

Maybe I could start a band,

with my animal clan...

I could use it to get my food,

to fight angry island life,

to calm my mind.

Imagine if I were to ever be recued,

my story would be told through music

that I learned to make myself.

How better to spend my life than

stranded on an island,

guitar in hand and singing in the sand,

sun shining giving me a deep, brown glow,

creating music, stories, memories

that I can share when, if I ever were to leave

my new animal clan

with my many stranded island melodies.
