Strands

I am tangled I use to be tied

to a single strand of happiness inside

I was innocent and naive

never meaning to decieve.

I was short like the simple meal

when well prepared it holds great appeal.

Meat and potatoes was what i ate.

But much finer food I should put on my plate.

I found that it is people who made me thrive

each person i met made me feel more alive.

each person is a strand of their community

and each person you meet brings new opportunity.

for each one is different just a single strand

we all make up the world and fill up this land..

each strand is a human in that we are the same

but each is uniquely different even if the same name.

Great poem except that your pronoun I is not capitalized in some parts (always proofread before you publish).
