Strange History

Mon, 11/25/2013 - 10:49 -- dcj1018

History is something that can never be erased. It can never be changed the past must be faced. The future is supposed to be a way for improvement, a way for someone to start a movement. A movement for the slaves and their slave mentality. The slaves were never free, because slavery exist in our minds. Society left a lot of people behind. Not just typical African-American who was shipped over here by force. But the thanks we are giving from dirty people taking land from the "real Americans". REAL AMERICANS were the Natives but some people came along showing much hatred. There is somethings I will never understand, but I do know we are on strange land with strange history. Sometimes I wonder.

We can wonder about history

But with realizing the evil that humans have done

You find that it is not over.

Someday, today will be human history.

Will it be recognized as a time of change?

A time of fairness?

Or will we be known only as a continuation

Of the evil of others before us?

Looking into the past

Changes us.

The past is strange to us

Just as our years will be to the ones in the future.

Will we have tried?

Will they respect us for that?
