Strange Love
I met him three years ago.
A strange,
dark-aura'd,
mysterious man.
Sitting all by himself.
He wouldn’t tell me why.
As the weeks past,
our love,it grew.
But my parents never approved.
Three years later, here we are now.
Our love kept a secret,
because if they found out,
man- we’d be dead.
But we keep loving each other,
cities apart, but feeling so close.
And yet so, so far.
Only a few close friends know.
But they don’t understand.
No one understands.
Except us.
Our love is strange.
Sum it up in a single word.
Strange.
We’re not normal.
We bonded over gothic horror,
Mummy movies,
and comic books.
Our love grows in anime and manga,
Youtube videos,
hilarious spoofs,
and Marvel movies.
He’s a living weapon,
with remnants of a demon in his head.
And I’m a pacifist,
with a burning temper,
and a tattered heart and soul.
We’ve got a strange love, man.
We’ve got a strange love.
But I couldn’t live without him.
He is the Dracula to my Mina,
the Rick O'Connell to my Evelyn,
the Captain America to my Peggy.
The Eren to my Mikasa,
the sun to my moon,
the blood in my veins,
the stitches on this tattered heart.
I swear some days he’s the only thing
that keeps it beating.
I’d be lost without him.
I can never trade my strange love.
My strange love is what makes me,
Me.
