Stranger

I am a stranger to myself One that seeks for help But never asks How can I help you, if I can’t help myself? How much longer will this feeling last I thought I knew who I was I truly thought wrong Am I that girl burst out in song? The one that lives for herself But when she see’s her father, cowards in stealth I feel like an alien to my native land Like a foreigner lost in an unknown place That’s how it feels when I see my face I see someone staring back in the mirror Who is this person who is so far but yet so near? Lost in the dark Where can I find her? The girl who I want to be The girl that everyone see’s The girl that wants to fly and spread her wings Trapped in myself Soon I’ll find my way out No more yearning for help My pride and dignity will surface And I’ll no longer be a stranger to myself
