stranger

what can be made of a cry for help

heard from overseas

someone i have never met

and will never ever meet.

you have shown up in my life by chance

and i wish to ask you why you chose to reach out to a stranger

you chose to reach out to me.

it may seem like no one loves you

and while it may be true,

i tell you-

no

i promise you

that someday someone will find you.

and yes stranger i want you to know

i don't know you are or what you have done

so i will love you

no matter what

because everyone deserves a little love.
