The Stranger in the Mirror

I hate the world,

I hate my friends,

I have no more love,

I do not deserve to live.

Darkness surrounds me,

Fear infests me,

Helplessness controls me,

And nobody will miss me,

A building;

An elevator ride,

The world far below,

And just one step...

A gun;

The click of the saftey,

The raise of a hand,

And the pull of a finger...

A noose;

The feel of rope,

They tying of a knot,

And a sudden and swift drop...

A noose;

The feel of rope,

The tying of a knot,

And arms to catch me.

A gun;

The click of the saftey,

The raise of a hand,

And a swift embrace.

A building;

An elevator ride,

The world far below,

And a hand on my shoulder.

Hope surronds me,

Joy fills me,

Support guides me,

And my friends love me.

I care for the world,

I care for my friends,

I can love myself and others,

I deserve to live.

The stranger in the mirror;

He hates me,

He hurts me,

He wants to kill me.

He is a part of me,

But he does not control me,

I am free.
