Stranger Than Most

It's taken me too long to discover,

the beauty of writing a line,

that seems to have the perfect rhyme.

Writing poems started out as a joke,

but now I long to see what feelings it will provoke.

My story is stranger than most

as it's still being written with anger as a host.

I guess what I'm trying to say,

I still don't like poetry enough today.

Tomorrow I might love it more than music,

but I'm definitely still trying to see the best of it.

You can be sure this is genuine,

For I only write poetry to let myself in.
