Strangers

I could be years away from where you stand, But how will I know with no chance? Truth betold, I wish to be in your hold, Or lie in the sand where I’d hold your hand Secrets shared between us with little more than a glance, Instead I lie by myself, wrapped up tight from the cold, surrounded by glass. I know there’s no point, no waiting to be done I know I’ll most likely never see you again Lost lovers, I make it seem, but we all know you never knew Oh, how big I make it out, there’s no truth beyond that doubt. As I hold my head high, my feelings dip low For we will always be strangers, can’t I ever see? I blame it on getting older, mentally becoming bolder Deceiving myself, trickery through convincing lies, Tangling and twisting, reaping and harvesting those madeup lives. I’ll always be alone, you have better chance, since, I could be years away from where you stand, And I will never get to hold your hand.
