Strangers

As I look at you

You look at me

We say nothing

We stand there quietly

Like strangers that meet on a busy street

As a thousand days pass by

We still don’t speak

There once was a story between us two

A story

That gave us anything and everything to say

Something happened

Something happened that caused you to change

You changed into something that pushed me away

To this day I have nothing else to do besides sit alone

As I see you walk by me

Saying goodbye was the ending to this long lasting story

I found out that calling you “my friend” was not my answer to anything
