Strangers
"Hello." I say
someone on the street
"Good day"
sitting in the heat
underneath the shade
made himself a retreat
"Do you need a place to stay?"
"Here, outside you'll overheat."
"This way."
"Let us go eat."
but he stayed
'cause my mom walked up, acting sweet
"Let's go.
Don't talk to him.
You know
what I told you, Tim"
'Don't talk to strangers.'
I reply.
'I know.'
But he needs help, though.
(Disclaimer, my name is NOT Tim. This is fiction.)
