Stray Bullet

Love is like a stray bullet

Anonymous on both ends

Connected only by cause and effect

Never meant to happen

But at the same time presdestined

As if the bullet was being aimed or directed

Towards the unprotected heart of the unexpected

Love made me an assassin by accident

Fate made you my unsuspecting victim

Do not resuscitate lest my love be in vain

Allow my heart to pour out and regain

The lost blood in your veins

I’ll die trying to give you back everything I took from you
