The Street Light

I flicker at night to say hello

But no one responds from down below

Once, twice, still no sign of good night

I flicker at night to scare a fright

Two robbers run from the site

Hurry, quick, they blend into the night

I flicker at night to lead some light

A racoon spots a trashcan of delight

Click, clack, he munches on a snack

I flicker at night to show a spotlight

Two lovers dance on by

Shh, shh, they kiss goodnight
