Started when I was just three years old,

On a Friday night shivering from the cold

Give me your money a strange man said,

Next thing you know a bullet in a woman's head

I had a bad childhood all I can remember,

Is seeing a gun on the table from January to December

I was lucky to have a Dad, but he never cared,

Touched his gun once then he made us all scared

We needed protection, so we had to join a gang,

Making gang signs, got tattoos and learnt all the slang

At sixteen it put my brother in his grave,

Some say he's dumb, but the gang said he's brave

He had good intentions wanted to make our mother proud,

But now I have to pray that two are safe up in the clouds

Wanted to stop crime that was his big dream,

Crime stopped him and left him dead at sixteen

Why should I cry If nobody cares,

Gang violence is happening are you aware?
