Strength

You look in the mirror and your in pure disgust
You see guilt and pain trapped inside
Yet he looks and nearly falss to his knees
He says you make his heart lust
That there is no reason to run and hide
For your pain and guilt is not what he sees
You are amazed that anoyone finds beauty in you
He says if you open your eyes you'll see beauty too
You close your eyes and begin to cry
He takes your weak hand and holds it dear to his heart
You look him in the eye and see the same pain you feel
He embraces you tightly to say, all I ask is that you try
You feel your questions rolling off your tongue
Then you finally ask him, what happened when you were young
he says, my childhood was like a forever spinning wheel
Like a sweet candy apple thats outrageously tart
You ask him how he grew to be so strong
He takes a moment to look at you
He then says, I see you've been through hell too
But you have to let the past be the past
To be strong you must feel as if you belong
You sit silent, still amazed at what you've jsut heard
Now you look in the mirror once more
This time you smile an ear to ear smile
He then says, finally you see the beauty too
This is why my heart lusts for you.
