Strength

I stand on the ledge

the water stares back,

                                  But I

                                          Am not alone

The breeze is cool and sticks to my skin

My throat closes and

                                     I shake

Gently, you take my had

One.

Two.

Three steps back

The soft of your shirt

The strength of your back

Breath

              Enters my lungs

The water glistens

The birds,

                  they fly

Not a word is said

My strenth waxes

and wanes

not one day is the same

But you

are loving, and kind

you understand

My end is not today

or tomorrow

Because when my strength wanes

I borrow your

And in turn mine is yours too.
