The Strength of Your Memory

We have been apart for what seems like years,

And the pain of losing you still displays throughout my tears.

I have you no more, but hold onto your memory.

At night I look up and know that you are with me.

I need no fancy jewels, nor lively company.

All I require to continue is your cherished memory.

Alone I stand on a vacant beach,

But I remember how far our love reached.

All I need is you, when the night fades to black.

The memory of how our love reached to the moon and back.

So let me fade away here with nothing and no one.

The strength of your memory can never be undone.

When the dark sets in and I can no longer see,

loved I will remain in your perfect memory.
