Stress

I am drawing a line

incredibly thin

across my chest,

longer than my arms that quiver,

beneath all of it

beneath all of it

thin thinner

I become

thin thinner

my hair falls

stress stressed

my syllables

fall flat

from my lips

so still

my motivation

shock stand still

from cold air.

I'm not moving from this region

of terrible familiarity.

I have left my own body

But I have not left this place.
