Stress

Stress

Cries

Blank stares

College supplementary essays

More than one can seemingly bear

They ask, “Where are you going to college?”

I reply, “I’m not sure yet.”

What is received are disdainful glares

“Grow up,” they say.

Easier said than done

And they should know

Weren’t they in the same boat some forty years

Ago?

I don’t know

I feel somewhat prepared for what they dub as

Life

Isn’t that what I’ve been living this whole time?

I’ll be fine…

Right?

“No,” they say. “What your living now is just a game!

Get your head out of the play!”

It is out of the play

All I think about all day

College supplementary essays

Cries

Stress

I just want to make my mother proud

Out of what, right now,

Is seemingly a

Mess
