Stress and Pain

Thunder cracks through my head

Stress  and exhaustion rain down on my eyes

Waking up tired isn't how I should spend my life

Lightning strikes my heart when he’s near

How can such joy be felt through such pain

Always in the back of my mind

my little memories I hold onto to feel human again

but pushed back by the life of a student

Deadlines and assignments add to the tension

So much to do but I just want to spend time with you

A hurricane in my mind swirling all my thoughts

so much to think about, don't know where to start

I think i’ll dream, maybe of you and hope for rest

Until i see you again, I’ll say a spot in my heart and my mind for you

The wind will never blow away your smile from my mind

Only important things are worth this pain

You’re my calm in a storm

your side is where i’d rather be

a few years from now it will be you and me

I can wait for you until the time is right

I don't need just a hand to hold

I need to hold a heart close to mine

You can understand, I’m the fire in your eyes

I’m the cool spring in your soul

Stress and Pain

can be as cleansing as rain

how can you know what the sun is like

without some thunder and dark skies
