Stress Relief

Can I say what’s on my mind tonight?

Cuz what I’m feeling just ain’t right.

Constantly pushing it to the back won’t cut it.

Cuz when I look down at my wrist I think “cut it”.

No not for real, but life without me has been reeled across my mind like “Breaking News”, I need attention.

Not the “I’m proud” and screaming loud, “That’s my baby” from the crowd.

Guess if I ain’t get it then, I don’t need it now.

Wow, you can hear my hurt through those words

You can tell I’m perturbed by my past situations which morphed into mental commotions

But I don’t show it. I can’t cuz I’m too busy to the express, deal with, or settle my emotions,

God help

He hears me and I know it,

Not that his response will be as quick as my plea, but geez… patience is key

Unfortunately, it’s not the only key we need for these many locked doors we so seek.

I’m just saying we all want what we don’t got

So why even try to go through that door if it’s locked?

Well for me, I gotta fine these keys, cuz if I don’t get what I don’t have, it’s gonna be pretty sad I’m doing all this for nothing.

God sees me and I trust him.

He’s pulled me through all that then and still pulling right now, I’m glad somebody’s proud

If it wasn’t for him, I’d have no hope

Honestly, I couldn’t cope with what’s being thrown at me.

I’m not prepared enough to dodge these hits, but I can hear God saying up there, “She got this’”

So I’m not worried

At least that’s what I tell myself

But I think it’s true

Cuz all the time I’m thinking out the blue, “Can’t wait to see what I’m gonna do”

And it’s gonna be great, cuz God’s gonna guide me that way

And about that he definitely won’t be late.

Then I’m gonna say, (I’m sure this is cliché), but I’m glad God set up my life this way.
