Stress Relief

I bottle up rage

and I choke it down

Until I explode on anyone around

I want to scream

I want to yell

I want everyone to know I am going through hell

But poetry has given me

New eyes in which I see

That I can exchange a punch for a pen

That I can lay down my rage

and write to defend

I can put all my emotions down on a page

and let my anger fade away
