The Stress Of School

School used to be fun in the earlier years

I used to have fun

Now it simply houses anxiety-induced and depressed teens.

The work is no help

It just hypes up the stress

School should be a place where you learn, not just retain information

We should not be waking up early just to go somewhere to sit in classes all day long

A teens brain doesn’t really “Wake up” until around 10

Classes start at 8 sometimes 7, if you take zero hour

School is just one big popularity contest and we’re all losing

If you happen to buy expensive things, people will want to be around you

If you save your money or spend it on necessities

People tend to think that your super prepared for the “real world”

But in reality you are a anxiety ridden student

Who is developing depression

Who gets yelled at for not having a B or above

Who gets yelled at for not responding to a text that you didn’t see

And because of anxiety you keep getting thoughts that your friends just felt bad for and didn't want to be friends

And the only 2 things that help you get away from the world may be taken from you

But you put on a smile and pretend you're fine because the world is cruel
