Stretch to the Land
In lava stone strewn across yellow grass fields
I pause
Peloncillo sunrise
Chiricahua sunset
Purple, rose, shadowed stillness rising from San Simon Valley
Expansive starry skies peer out of darkness
Not a soul around
Just me.
