Strip

Give me a moment, so I can strip for you. I'll take off my skin so I can show you what's underneath this flesh coat that is marked with nothing but judgement, and the only thing you will see of me... is my soul. As you can see it's not damaged and it has many colors and it shows the real me on the inside, but I like to think of skin as armour because it protects our soul from labels and lies, and as we look into the mirror the only thing we see are the hits and attempts that our skin has from the war of words. So do me a favor, and I will do the same, just strip down to your soul from all your scars and your shame. Everyone please, strip away your lips, for I know that light travels faster than sound, and maybe that's why some people appear brighter before they speak, but i refuse to let the word from a fool label me. Now this soul that I see, is this really you? Oh please don't tell me society has labeled your soul to. I mean how bad can you possibly want to fit in, I mean that's the reason why we change, is to be the same, but too many people have claimed the same roll of trying to be that cool kid, and this roll has about a million different souls, but for five minutes can you just be you, and stop doing all these things society wants you to do. Now let me tell you a little story, ya see people judge me, and they automatically assume I'm the girl that loves the spotlight, but please don't waste your breath because you ain't right. I don't want the spotlight I just have a story to bring and all these testimonies and things, and i refuse to let people steal the happiness from my soul buy aye thats just the way I roll. Now you can go ahead and you can waste your breath because i'm listening to the lord and all the things he wants me to express. So let's all strip away our ears, so we don't have to listen to the negativity and just peer into our souls and realize that God has put in so much creativity to buold up our character. But i guess we'll never be thankful for this life we were given, and i guess we'll never realize that certain people wherever they are in this world will literally walk through hell just to have your life that you don't appreciate. So do me a favor and I will do the same, just strip down to your soul from all your scars and your shame. Everbody please, stop right now and just.... strip.
