Strip away

Strip away food my Lord Strip away water Strip away control my Lord And make me stronger Strip me of worldy affairs Remind me of who I truly am Your slave who cares With sins built up like a dam I am your servant Your flawed and lowly creation Lacked of nourishment I get from praise of your perfection Your mark is everywhere With mankind striving to forget With pain too bad to bare Guide us and let it set Help me stay on the straight path So I can walk where it is paved Take me to where I began So This imaan that I can save Allow me to praise your excellence In hope of your love That is reminiscent with my reflection Built from the wonders above I belong to you and to you alone You breathed life into me alone And will take it from me alone
