Striped Mind

I’m sitting on my bed- my striped mind,

thinking you remarkable, yet ordinary.

How are you a beautiful mess

of contradictions in my thoughts?

I long to feel your warmth.

I do not miss your coldness.

I would, again, be willing

to feel the hug of your comfort,

if you and your raspy voice

speak the apologies my ears long to hear.
