Striped Sheets

Wish I could fade into these lines

and disappear for a little while,

just enough for me to forget things

put everything aside and just be.

I don't like hiding behind smiles

and polite phrases

I don't like the lies, decit and complication

this world brings

Sometimes I think my thoughts

take over my whole being

I get trapped into thinking of my purpose

in this world and how to mold it to my world

But I don't deal with the reality.

I am still - my thoughts keep me

grounded to the bigger picture,

But life is dynamic and I can't keep up

So I cover myself and hide.

I just want to fade into these lines.
