Strong Woman
Dear Strong Woman,
Behind every strong man there is an even stronger woman
But we can also be strong all by ourselves
We pay our own bills, we buy our own clothes
And we don't need to depend on anybody else
We are soft melodies on an acoustic guitar
We are characters that put their own gas in their own car
Putting our best foot foward everyday
Making a living for ourselves in every way
'Cause we're beautiful, and we're flawless, but concieted at times
But God knew what he was doing when he made us
So let's show them what we're made of
Strong Woman, Strong Woman go ahead and slay on
Strong Woman, Strong Woman let us let the world know
how we are and how we carry oursleves
and how we pack the negativity on the shelves
So put your lipstick on and make the jaws drop everywhere
We are all flawed beautiful creatures
But we've got bumps and curves in our features
Showing up and Showing out on a daily
Exhibit class like a delicate daisy
We're taking the task and taking it bravely
Cause we're beautiful, and we're solid, but mistreated but it's fine
God knew what he was doing when he made us
So lets show them what we're made of
We have doctors, Lawyers, and teachers on the scene
with diplomas, bachelors, masters, or all three
so ladies if your confident in everything you do
and continue to show how we do it on queue
Then keep your head high, keep your head on your vision
and always surround yourself around a bunch of strong women
Strong woman, strong woman we are smart an unique
we are classy, we are sassy, and we are definitely chic
Strong Woman, Strong Woman, we are like eagles with wings
We take after each other like a sequel to be
Strong Woman Strong Woman you should reach for the sky
and remember not to let nobody ask you why
So strong woman strong woman go ahead and slay on
Strong woman strong woman go ahead and let the world know
How you are and how you carry yourself
And how you pack the negativity on the shelf
and put your lipstick on and make those jaws drop everywhere.
