Stronger

Never going down,
Never letting go,
Holding your own strength,
Holding your head held high,
As you walk along the broken road,
As you take another step,
Towards another day,
Towards another you,
Breathing in all of this pain,
And letting it all go,
Saying goodby to the old you...

I love the title of this poem, because it is so simple, yet it holds such a huge meaning. You do a great job of bringing the reader along on your journey in your poem and you have great imagery! I think my favorite lines are "As you walk along the broken road / As You Take another step" because that is the transition stage of the poem, and shows how just because parts of us may be broken, doesn't mean that we can't fix ourselves. You use great contrast in the beginning and end of your poem, since you first write about not being able to let go, but by the end of the poem, you are able to finally let go of the pain and negativity.Great work! Have you ever thought about writing an ode? Check out how and more in the Resources section
