Stronger Than The Cancer
My heart is heavy with the thoughts of losing you
Everything I now have and will ever have I’d give it all up to cure you
Time seems as if it is on hyper speed
My head is trying to catch up to my feet
I love coming down home and seeing your face
Although, it’s sad; the cancer has took so much away
You have always been a house wife
So this is much more than a fight
You can no longer do what Nanny’s normally do
But no need to worry for you will always be my nanny,
No matter how weak you may be, I’ll tell the whole world with pride.
You still have that twinkle in your eyes,
I know in my heart you’re not ready to give up or die
What I see when I look at you is a strong and wise woman who has taught me a lot
How to believe in love and forget the pain in my heart
Now that the shoe is on the other foot
I’ll do what I can to build you back up
We are all in this fight together
We are stronger than the cancer
