The Struggle

Everyday she walks in a daze

Going through her life like maze,

Looking forward to the bright morning skies

hoping there will be no lies,

Chances are there will be something new

Like getting over what you've been through,

Always wears a smile on her face

Like she lives in some other place,

Sitting on the warm beach sand

Wondering how her life is planned,

Staring at her reflection in the water

She sees what God has brought her,

What you are is what you breathe

Never give up, always believe,

Go ahead and waste the hours

Just by picking many flowers,

Walking through the crowds just to see

How many people can really be,

Watching the time pass her by

She only wishes she could fly,

But everyday she walks in a daze

Going through her life like maze,

One day hoping to find herself

Not like one of those books on the shelf
