The Struggle

Academically stressed,

Someone please give us a rest .

Exploiting our minds,

All we really want is for someone to close the blinds.

Let us enjoy life,

We don't want baggy, tired eyes.

Many of us are pressured into being successful.

Our parents think there are no failures.

Making students distressful.

Us, students, trying to make our parents proud,

Instead of just being someone else in the crowd.

They want what is best for us,

Therefore, in them, we should trust.

From first grade where we learn how to spell,

To seniors in high school, where they teach us to excel.

Typing up school papers on our Dell's,

As balancing homework from biology class on Red and White Blood Cells.

We know it is difficult to stay on task, and focus,

But in the future, there is a bonus.
