struggle builds hope

At first I was blind to it all, The struggles they all seemed to mask so well I thought that growing up was finally going to give me my freedom To be able to do what I wanted was what I yearned for. But soon the masquerade has to come to an end and we finally see what's under the mask. The struggles they went through My mom my dad How much money they stretched just to get by while raising me. I know now that I have to work hard I've got to hustle to make my parents proud To achieve my goals To be happy Because there's only one person to help me and it's me.
