The Struggle Foward

The flash of powder, the glint of steel as we push forward

A million footsteps, a million hearts

All beating to the drum

All yearning towards the light

For every step forward we take three back

And many fall to the crack of thunder

We struggle forward

Like a ship in the squall

Battered by the waves

Yet we still year for the light

And still push ourselves into darkness

Until we accept the folly of our ways

We regroup

And we begin our charge again

We climb the wall

We storm the bastions

We crest the waves

Only to find another

Only to try again
