Struggles From the Middle
Success. Failure.
I see both paths ahead.
I long to walk the golden road
But Life seems to sing a different tune.
I was born in a trailer
as was my childhood.
Advances in family status brought me to 2400 square feet.
If only we had foreseen the plight ahead.
The future rests in education..
Education -- a burdensome price to pay.
There's no aid for the middle,
Debt appears impossible to avoid.
If I was still in the trailer,
There would be aid for this;
This education that shapes our future.
But I'm not in a trailer,
So I deal with the struggles from the middle.
