Stuck

Sometimes weeks blend into days.

Sometimes life seems like a maze.

And I’m blind with no way out.

So I dig, I climb, I shout.

I turn without direction.

I’m wasted, without affection.

No one ever stays around.

But I’m stuck, chained to the ground.

And I imagine that I am free,

Soaring high above the sea,

Across mountains that graze the sky,

Through deserts, arid and dry.

But I’m brought back to this maze,

Where weeks blend into days.

And I promise, I will get out,

I’ll break free without a doubt.

You’re drowning, gasping for air,

But you’ll survive, I swear.
